NWT Vaping Regulations

The Northwest Territories raised the minimum age to buy tobacco to 19 as part of an overhaul of the territory’s smoking and tobacco laws undertaken in summer 2019. However, the Legislative Assembly declined suggestions from the Canadian Cancer Society that would have set at 21 as the minimum legal age for people to buy and consume tobacco and vaping products.
